Yotpo Email Marketing & SMS integration

Overview

The Yotpo Email Marketing & SMS integration connects Wishlist Club with Yotpo so you can send targeted email and SMS campaigns based on how shoppers use their wishlist.

Once connected, wishlist activity from your store can be used inside Yotpo to trigger automations, build customer segments, and send timely messages such as price drop alerts, back-in-stock reminders, and wishlist follow-ups.

This integration is especially useful if you already use Yotpo for reviews, loyalty, subscriptions, or retention campaigns and want wishlist behavior to become part of the same customer journey.

This integration sends wishlist activity to Yotpo so you can use it in your marketing flows. You will need access to your Yotpo account credentials before starting setup.

What this integration does

After you connect Yotpo, Wishlist Club can send shopper wishlist events to your Yotpo marketing account. You can then use that data to:

  • Create automated email and SMS flows based on wishlist activity

  • Segment shoppers by their wishlist behavior

  • Send personalized reminders about saved products

  • Promote products that are back in stock or have dropped in price

  • Re-engage shoppers who saved items but did not return

For the best results, use wishlist events together with your existing Yotpo segments, such as VIP customers, repeat buyers, or loyalty members. This helps you send more relevant campaigns instead of the same message to everyone.

Supported wishlist triggers

The following wishlist events can be used in your Yotpo campaigns and automations:

  • Price Drop on Wishlist Item — Notify shoppers when a saved item goes on sale

  • Wishlist Item Back in Stock — Alert shoppers when a saved item becomes available again

  • Wishlist Item Low in Stock — Create urgency when stock is running low

  • Wishlist Reminder — Remind shoppers about products they saved for later

  • Abandonment Wishlist — Re-engage shoppers who added items to a wishlist but did not return

  • Item Added to Wishlist — Send a confirmation, welcome, or follow-up message

  • Item Removed from Wishlist — Trigger a re-engagement or preference-based campaign

Before you start

  • Make sure you have access to your Yotpo account

  • Confirm you can view your Yotpo API credentials

  • Make sure Wishlist Club is already installed and active in your store

If the App Key or Secret Key is entered incorrectly, wishlist events will not sync to Yotpo. Copy and paste the credentials exactly as shown in your Yotpo account.

Set up the integration

In Shopify, go to Apps → WC Wishlist & Back in Stock → Settings → Integrations → Yotpo Email Marketing & SMS.

Turn on the Connect toggle to start the setup process.

In your Yotpo account, go to Profile → Account Settings → API Credentials. Copy your App Key and Secret Key.

Return to the Yotpo integration settings in Wishlist Club and paste the App Key and Secret Key into the matching fields.

Click Save to complete the connection. Once saved, supported wishlist events will begin syncing to Yotpo automatically.

After setup is complete, you can use synced wishlist activity in Yotpo to improve your retention marketing.

  • Build flows for back-in-stock, price drop, and reminder messages

  • Create segments for shoppers who actively save products

A strong starting point is to set up three core automations in Yotpo: Item Added to Wishlist, Price Drop, and Back in Stock. These usually deliver the fastest value with minimal setup.

Troubleshooting

Check that the integration is enabled in Wishlist Club and confirm that your Yotpo App Key and Secret Key were entered correctly. If the connection was recently added, allow a short time for new events to begin syncing.

Make sure your Yotpo flows or segments are configured to use the relevant wishlist trigger. Connecting the integration sends the data, but the campaign logic still needs to be set up inside Yotpo.
